Miranda Grogger
Hi! I’m Miranda.
I’m a 21-year-old student and multimedia journalist studying visual journalism at Western Washington University, based in Bellingham, Washington.

I love using different mediums to tell stories, especially in photography, radio and design. I aim to work in live music or for the PWHL, NHL or USHL. I have a passion for portrait photography. I love translating different aspects of my subject’s personality through my work. I’m experienced in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere and Illustrator. I have worked on many projects including video production, photography, poster design and multimedia. I’ve also had stories published in The Front and Klipsun Magazine (where I won best medium-form story Winter '24!).

I’ve been volunteering and working at WWU’s student-run radio station for two years now, where I have discovered a deep joy in on-air DJing. If you’d like to catch an example of my radio work, tune in to 89.3 KUGS-FM on Wednesday nights from 8-10p.m. for "Full Circle." My role as the KUGS-FM Marketing Coordinator has also exposed me to the world of marketing and social media, which are rising passions of mine.

My years of experience as a caregiver have taught me an expert sense of patience, responsibility and compassion that have translated through every one of my work experiences.

I’m excited to continue to explore the world of multimedia journalism and learn a multitude of new skills.
